Sarah + Taylor | The Ritz-Carlton @ Reynolds Plantation, Lake Oconee

This week we are reflecting back on Sarah + Taylor’s dream day from March at The Ritz-Carlton, Reynolds Plantation. I can’t believe they celebrated 4 months of marriage last week; this post is long overdue!

Sarah was the “dream bride”. She was laid back but super organized, open to suggestions but able to make quick decisions, grateful for the work of her vendor team and quick with her communications. I just loved helping her pull together the final details of her wedding day!

With the pandemic, there was some delayed construction happening at the hotel that created an obstacle around their original ceremony location. Without much fuss, Sarah + Taylor reorganized their plan and vision around having their ceremony now take place by the waterfront. With the closer proximity to the hotel and to their reception site (at the Pavilion), the plan worked out wonderfully! Guests enjoyed a gorgeous view of the lake while listening to Sarah + Taylor recite their vows under a flower-drenched arbor. Once the ceremony ended, guests were escorted up the hill to the Pavilion where they enjoyed an outdoor cocktail hour on the terrace before entering the space for dinner + dancing. The weather was perfect for March with the sun shining during the day, but a light brisk sweeping through in the evening.

Amy Osaba and her team curated the most beautiful space. Florals went from floor to ceiling (literally!) in some areas and there were plenty of “wow” installations around the room. Emerald Empire Band never fails in entertaining the guests and keepin the dance floor jammed all night long. The newlyweds ended the evening by offering an array of late night snacks before guests re-entered the main hotel for post-party drinks. It was a wonderful celebration and I hope you enjoy these photos captured by the oh-so-talented Heirloom Foto. xx!
