Styled Shoot
Ah, styled shoots.
I love brainstorming new ideas and dreaming about how to bring them to live. I love seeing other creative's styled shoots and how beautifully everything seems to just come together.
But then I actually tried to create one. A styled shoot.
To say it was hard work is an understatement. Maybe because it was my first time. Maybe because I tried to tackle this while taking on two other jobs at the same time (#help! Life of an entrepreneur, am I right?!). Maybe because Organized Occasions had really only just begun and I wasn't quite used to being on the "designer" side of things yet. I think it was a combination of all of those factors, but thankfully I pulled through. WE pulled through! I had the most amazing team of "friend-ors" help me breathe life into my ideas and the end product made me SO proud. I pushed myself out of my comfort zone, I challenged my creative side, and the result was nothing short of rewarding. Will I do more styled shoots? Absolutely!
For most, the end goal of doing shoots like these is to gain recognition, open yourself up to a wider audience, earn business, and ultimately get published. And I am BEYOND THRILLED that this shoot was picked up by The Perfect Palette, which is one of my favorite wedding blogs (and Instagram pages: @theperfectpalette)! Check out these stunning photos below from my friend and photographer, Kristen Alexander. Many (MANY) thanks again to Julie (Unique Floral Expressions), Vanessa (Vintage English Teacup), Mark (Classic Cheesecakes), Doug (BBJ Linen), Kelly's Closet (wedding dresses), Angelika Mercado (hair & makeup), Katie (Made to Flourish Calligraphy), and Park Tavern (furniture rental). This shoot literally would not have happened without you. :)
