We love when weddings are filled with unique ideas and details that make the wedding more personal for the couple. Donna & Monne's special day was no exception! These ladies hired Organized Occasions for full-service planning, and we had so much fun along the way.
Donna & Monne are two of the most thoughtful people we have worked with. I mean, they wrote hand written thank you cards for each of their guests to pick up at their reception! Just a personal note to say "thanks for being here" and "you mean so much to us". How sweet is that?!
A good portion of Donna's family is from Jamaica, so they were sure to incorporate some of their Jamaican culture into the reception details to make those guests feel at home. They had Jamaican inspired menu items such as jerk chicken lollipops & beef patties. Donna's mom also baked a large rum cake to be pass around with the wedding cake. That rum cake was probably the biggest hit of the night! It was delicious, and we even boxed some up as wedding favors for guests to take home and enjoy later.
Amanda Jewel Floral Design brought our fun ideas to life perfectly. These brides wanted their day to be as unique as they are, so we incorporated floral pockets for the "bridesmen" (instead of traditional boutonnieres) and the bridesmaids carried gold geos with white blooms (instead of the traditional bouquets). The large ceremony ring was definitely the statement piece of the night, so we were sure to get our use out of it by repurposing it over the cake table for the reception!
