Sarah + Sonny | The Estate
Sarah and I have been friends for almost 9 years, so when she asked me to be a part of her wedding day in such an intimate way- I was honored. I was humbled that she trusted me enough to take care of her most important details, ensure that her one wedding day went off without a hitch, and to have me as her “sidekick” throughout the day. It was so much fun!
Sarah + Sonny had a relatively short engagement (~4 months) , and Sarah handled all of the planning herself. She would contact me for advice every now and then, but she hand picked all of her details and made all of the major decisions. Given the short timeframe, she did a fabulous job in making all of the decisions while also working full time, moving in to their new home together, and stepping into the role of stepmom for Sonny’s three sons. (Whew! I’m tired just typing that out…!)
At the beginning, she was in between a couple of venues within metro-Atlanta but ultimately she decided on The Estate and I’m so glad she did! This venue is stunning. There are photo opportunities at every turn, you have the entire house to yourself most of the day, there is plenty of natural light, and all of the rooms flow so nicely. Legendary Events has a phenomenal staff, and they made our job so easy! They handle all of the catering, the decor + setup, and even the wedding cake. Talk about a one-stop-shop!
Due to the timing of the sunset, Sarah and Sonny opted to do their first look at the venue prior to heading to the church for the ceremony. Sonny carried the bridal bouquet to his soon-to-be wife as he saw her for the first time, and it was such a special moment to witness.
The ceremony at the church was beautiful and close to 190 guests were in attendance. Then everyone meandered over to The Estate for cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing. Guests enjoyed a plated dinner, and danced the night away to music provided by US Beat. This wedding was especially fun for me because my husband and I were included as guests. I got to change into my “party dress”, enjoy a lovely meal with my husband, and mingle with our close friends (hence the couple photos of those gals in the gallery below!).
Sarah- thank you for allowing me and my team to be a part of this oh-so-special occasion. We loved celebrating with you guys, and we wish you and Sonny a lifetime of happiness! xx
